Mama’s Boy Review

1. What story are they trying to tell?

The story that they are trying to tell is that the boy is making bad decisions that aren’t so good. For instance he makes the mistakes of doing drugs, disrespecting his mother and steals! During the end of the video the boy realizes that hes making the wrong choices and stops. Therefore, he learns that you shouldn’t make yourself make the wrong mistakes to try and impress your friends you have to be yourself!

2. How do they use camera angles/ shots to tell their story?

They used a close up for the camera angles/shots to show important parts to tell their story. They then used long shots to show where they were video taping the video from!

3.  How is their music effective?

Their music is really effective because this is a sad video and it represents the mood of the story.

Fantastic Contraption

1. What did you like about this game?

I liked that this game makes the person playing this game use their mind to actually get the red dot/box across to the red area.

2. How strategies did you use to accomplish your goals?

These strategies accomplish my goals because you had to plan out how you thought the red circle would go into the red area.

3. Do you consider this to be a silly casual game or a serious, educational game? Why?

This is both a serious and silly game because once you start the game you keep playing and then you start to think its silly. But overall I still think that this game is fun!

SISCL’s WWII Museum

The Staten Island School of Civic Leadership 8th graders have presented the WWII museum to many of the little children and visitors. Us eighth graders, including me, made WWII projects and posters to put up into the library to make it seem real and alive! In the video you will see some of the project that some students
projects and posters that we spent a lot of time on. This video was originally an hour and three different videos. In order for me to crop it and make it better and shorter I used Windows Live Movie Maker. I have went from having an hour long video to 2 minutes. I did this by cropping out the most important parts and deleting all of the other stuff I didn’t need. I hope you like my video and the SISCL’s WWII Museum! :)

A. Over the vacation I will shoot a video about how me and my friends have a good relationship and we look forward to hanging out together.

B. I plan on shooting it on Thursday of next week.

C. I will shoot it with my friends.

D. Some problems I may face are some being able to meet up on the day that I hope we will. We might even not be able to get the equipment that we need.

E. I will try to overcome those problems by planning the same day with my friends that we can all meet up at the same day and time. If I cannot find my camera then I will ask my technology teacher if we could use his video camera.

F. I will bring my footage into school on Monday, February 27th on a flash drive.

This is my first picture that I decided to put into this project. This recipe all started when my little had the craving for chocolate chip cookies. We tried making the cookies but, they exactly didn’t turn out that way! :( Although, we had a blast. The recipe although did make the cookies taste good. :)

This is the second picture and this is when we had to gather up all of the ingredients to get the cookies going. My little cousin is getting the flour from the big bucket and putting it into the other bowl. The purple bowl is where we had to mix up all of the other ingredients together. She called herself my “special helper.”

The third picture is a picture of the cookies in the oven. We put this in the oven after going through all the trouble and mess that we made. My little cousin was proud that she was finally making her own first batch of cookies. She thought that the cookies were perfect!

This is the fourth picture where shows how the cookies ended up. She wanted to arrange the cookies neatly onto the plate and then decorated them for everyone. She ate a cookie and a grin came across her face.

This is the last picture! I saved the best for last. Shes the best little cousin that I could have ever asked for. :D <3 She calls me everyday and tells me about her little pre-k stories about how she plays with her friends and when she does arts and crafts. She makes me little letters that I will cherish forever. I will always protect her from everybody and everything! I could go on and on about this amazing little girl but, in this picture this is where we finished everything and she ate a bite of the cookies!
